Supporting quality arts and environmental education for underserved children and youth
The Rosenlund Family Foundation is a private grantmaking organization, created in 1961 through the generosity of Arthur O. Rosenlund. The Foundation is dedicated to enhancing the lives and strengthening the future of underserved children and youth in the Philadelphia area's most disadvantaged neighborhoods. We provide general operating support to neighborhood-based organizations with operating budgets of $2 million or less, whose mission and priorities include high-quality and long-term arts and/or environmental education programming with a focus on fostering knowledge, creativity, interest in the preservation of our natural environment, and that provide the skills necessary to be successful in today's workforce.
"...The real purpose of arts education is to create complete human beings capable of leading successful and productive lives in a free society...Art addresses us in the fullness of our being..."
